Out of a total of 50,894 populations studied through 873 visits in 57 months, 36,828 SC people were surveyed for their socio-demographic condition, dietary and personal habits-related information, morbidity-related information and health-seeking behaviour. The out-reach OPDs arranged periodically or regularly at the survey sites gave benefit to 15,077 new patients. Out of them, 8,569 patients followed up with the out-reach OPDs regularly to seek Ayurvedic medicines for their ailments.<\/p><p><em>Following research projects have also been conducted during the year 2021-22:<\/em><\/p><ol><li>A prospective community-based study for the evaluation of Punarnava Mandoor in Anemia (Pandu).<\/li><li>Effectiveness of Ayurveda-based diet and lifestyle advocacy on health-related QOL in scheduled cast population in India- a community-based, cluster-randomized control study.<\/li><li>A prophylactic community-based study to assess the impact of Ayu Raksha kit in COVID-19.<\/li><\/ol><p><strong><em>Reproductive and Child Health Care programme under SCSP<\/em><\/strong><\/p><p>Reproductive and Child Health Care Programme under Scheduled Castes Sub Plan (SCSP) was executed during the period 2019 -2020 with the aim to study the living conditions of women and children of scheduled castes people; for the propagation of knowledge about health, hygiene, nutrition; to provide medical aid for prevention and management of diseases at their doorsteps on the principles of Ayurveda.<\/p><p>Under this program, the Institute has surveyed <strong>10494 populations<\/strong> of <strong>6 villages,<\/strong> and health care service has been provided to <strong>2142 patients<\/strong> for the year 2019-2020.<\/p><p><strong><em>\u00a0<\/em><\/strong><strong><em>Swasthya Rakshan Programme \u2013<\/em><\/strong><\/p><p>This project was executed during the period 2016 to 2019.
